I discovered that a local music shop was putting on an art show and wanted people to submit art that was oriented around the theme of family. "Aha!" I thought, "This is a great way for me to get local exposure!" So I decided to do a sculpture. Hours and hours later, and two sleep-deprived days as I frantically tried to finish it, this was the result. I'm extremely proud of how it came out, although what flaws there are still glare out at me, there are far fewer of them than usual.

Airbrush is my friend. <3

This piece ended up being mentioned in a local free newspaper which was pretty cool. First time seeing my name in print for art! Woo!

Sculpey Firm over foil and wire armature, with acetate and apoxie sculpt wings, airbrushed and detail painted with lovely metallic cheapo acrylics and sealed with varnish.
