This was a project in high school to illustrate a 2d piece in 3d. I chose this image. It didn't come out perfectly but other people have asked if that is what it was based on without me telling them, so the resemblance must be there.

The wing fell off in the kiln and it remained unfinished until a few years later when I was back at my parents' and figured out that some JB weld would probably fix it right up, and it did. I'm pleased with how this came out and it is one of my more popular images on DA, even though I know that my sculptural skills have improved dramatically since then.
